Bonhams Cornette De Saint Cyr Presents Rare and Exquisite Timepieces at the Anticipated Autumn Paris Fine Watches Sale

Paris – Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr presents the anticipated Paris Fine Watches including an Exceptional Private Collection Sale on October 17 2025. The live 77-lot sale will include lots from an exceptional private collection presented alongside a selection of exquisite and rare timepieces from some of the world's most prestigious watch manufacturers including Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, Rolex, Piaget, Vacheron & Constantin and Breguet.

The top lot is an exceptionally rare and sought after Rolex, Oyster Anti-Magnetic Chronograph Dato-Compax 'Jean-Claude Killy', reference 4767, circa 1947. The 18K gold manual wind chronograph bracelet watch with triple calendar indication and three-tone silvered dial. is one of the rarest and most sought-after Rolex chronographs ever produced. Introduced in 1947, this reference revolutionized watchmaking by pairing a triple calendar complication with the robust, water-resistant Oyster case, an extraordinary fusion of technical mastery and timeless elegance. Considered the pioneer of the golden age of complicated Oyster chronographs, the 4767 laid the foundation for one of Rolex's most prestigious families of timepieces. It is believed that only five examples in 18K yellow gold with the highly coveted three-tone dial are known today, placing the present watch heading to auction, among the rarest survivors of its kind. Offered with an estimate of €300,000-600,000.

Another sale highlight is a Patek Philippe 18K rose gold keyless wind perpetual calendar minute repeating full hunter pocket watch with moon phase, circa 1897. A true testament to Patek Philippe's mastery of complicated watchmaking, this pocket watch brings together three of the manufacture's most celebrated complications: the minute repeater, the perpetual calendar with day, date and month, and an exquisite moon phase indication. Numbered 97421, it exemplifies the technical innovation and timeless elegance that defined Geneva's golden age of horology. Offered with an estimate of €100,000-150,000.

Other sale highlights include :

•A very rare and early Breguet, 'Pre' Type 20, stainless steel military flyback chronograph wristwatch, no. 411, circa 1950. Produced in a limited series of only six examples, this watch belongs to the first generation of Breguet wrist chronographs delivered to the French Centre d'Essais en Vol in 1949, before the model would officially take the name "Type 20." The present example, no. 411, is the only example from the original 1949 delivery ever to have appeared on the market, further underscoring its rarity and historical importance. Offered with an estimate of €80,000-120,000.

A Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, 'Meteorite Dial', reference 116515LN, circa 2021. The 18K rose gold automatic chronograph wristwatch is offered with an estimate of €35,000-55,000.

A Blancpain, Fifty Fathoms, stainless steel automatic diver's bracelet watch, circa 1955. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is one of the first true professional diving watches. Designed for the French Navy, it met the strict requirements of military divers and is recognized as a landmark in the history of diving watches, combining technical innovation with functional design. Offered with an estimate of €35,000-55,000.

A Cartier 'Love Knot' lady's platinum manual wind bracelet watch with concealed 'cabriolet' case, set with brilliant-cut diamonds weighing approximately 40 carats, circa 1956. The spectacular watch represents the pinnacle of mid-20th century Haute Joaillerie and fine watchmaking. Crafted in platinum and adorned with diamonds, set within a concealed "cabriolet" case in which the dial remains hidden beneath a radiant jewelled cover, it captures Cartier's unrivalled talent for transforming time into jewellery. Commissioned as a special order, this one-of-a-kind piece is offered with an estimate of €100,000-150,000.

•A Breguet Reine de Naples, rare lady's 18K gold automatic bracelet watch, reference 8918, circa 2009. Designed with a diamond set bezel and crown and mother of pearl dial with Arabic numerals, a sapphire crystal case back showing the mechanism, and braided bracelet, the stylish watch is offered with an estimate of €15,000-20,000.
