New York – Bonhams presents a magnificent private collection of jewelry from a Southern Californian owner featuring 120 lots from leading fine jewelry houses including Mauboussin, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Chopard, Boucheron, LEVIEV, Bvlgari, De Grisgono and Van Cleef & Arpels. The Perfect Jewelry Box: Jewels from an Impressive Southern California Collection spans the decades from Art Deco to modern contemporary. The jewelry will be sold at Bonhams New York on March 8.
Leading the sale is a magnificent LEVIEV platinum diamond ring set with an emerald-cut type IIa diamond of D color, VVS1 clarity, weighing approximately 35.00 carats, signed LEVIEV. The spectacular ring is offered with an estimate of US$1,700,000-2,500,000.

Also on offer is an impressive platinum diamond ring weighing approximately 22.10 carats set with an oval brilliant-cut diamond that is type IIa, D color, VVS2 clarity. Offered with an estimate of US$900,000-1,500,000.
Another highlight is a diamond ring set with a square emerald-cut diamond also a type IIa, D color, VVS2 clarity, weighing approximately 11.37 carats. Offered with an estimate of US$350,000-550,000.

• A significant, Art Deco gem-set, diamond, and enamel tassel necklace by Mauboussin, France, circa 1920. The Art Deco pendant necklace is composed of alternating cylindrical black enamel links, ruby rondelle beads and platinum plaques of a budding flower design set with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and amethysts, suspending a dramatic tassel featuring a ruby rondelle beads and a half cabochon emerald. Offered with an estimate of US$150,000-250,000.
• A pair of important Cartier Art Deco diamond and emerald earrings, circa 1920. Each earring comprises a cabochon teardrop-shaped emerald of Colombian origin, suspended from a series of graduated single-cut diamond-spherical connecting links. Offered with an estimate of US$50,000-80,000.
• An exceptional sapphire and diamond platinum ring the rectangular cut 24.00 carat sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin. The ring is offered with an estimate of US$200,000-300,000.
• A striking emerald and diamond ring set with a rectangular-cut emerald of Colombian origin within an emerald-cut and oval-shaped diamond frame. Offered with an estimate of US$60,000-90,000.
• A diamond and emerald bracelet of a central line of twelve graduated square-cut emeralds, interspersed with emerald-cut diamonds. Offered with an estimate of US$50,000-70,000.
