約1960年作
簽名:Le Pho 黎譜(右下)
Le Pho's artistic journey can be divided into three phases: the early period (1925-1945), the Romanet era (1946-1962), and the Findlay phase (post-1963). The early period traces his evolution from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de l'Indochine in Hanoi to the 1940s in Paris.
The Romanet and Findlay phases, named after the galleries that represented him, mark a significant chapter in his Parisian life, and this painting, created between these periods, highlights his stylistic and technical evolution. During this time, Le Pho continued to work on silk, enhancing texture and vibrancy with gouache and oil paints. His palette became more luminous and his brushwork more delicate, with him also embracing a more impressionistic approach.
The vibrant colour palette creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the texture adds depth and richness, exemplifying Le Pho's ability to convey beauty and emotion through his distinctive artistic influences.
