Bonhams Whisky and Spirits department is delighted to present Distilled Rarity: A Curated Auction of the Finest Spirits.

Lots will open for bidding on 24th February at 12 noon and will close online at 1-minute intervals on 11th March 12 noon GMT//1pm CET// 7am EST // 8pm HKT.

Leading the sale is one of the most iconic releases from Brora Distillery. Released in 2021 to launch the re-opening of the distillery, the Brora Triptych (Lot 1) contains three incredibly rare whiskies from 1982, 1977 and 1972, celebrating the unique styles of single malt produced at this legendary distillery.

Selling at no reserve, we are delighted to feature The Bowmore 1965 52-Year-Old (Lot 4). Matured for over half a century in the finest Oloroso Sherry Cask, only 232 bottles were released by the distillery.

The sale also includes the remarkable Mortlach Generations Gordon & MacPhail 70-Year-Old (Lot 5). Selling at no reserve, this whisky was distilled in 1938 at The Mortlach Distillery and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. The bottle is presented in a hand-blown crystal decanter, No.16 of 54 bottles.

The popular Speyside distillery, Glenfarclas is well represented in Distilled Rarity. Featured alongside three bottles of Glenfarclas 35-Year-Old (Lots 27,28,29), is a selection of Glenfarclas 1977 42-Year-Old single cask bottlings (Lots 23,24,25,26). Glenfarclas is well known for its uniquely high ABV in older age statement bottlings and this single cask release represents the distilleries classic sherried character, limited to just 101 bottles.

Finishing the sale is a collection of the rarest cognacs selling at no reserve. The Jeroboam of Godet Origine Grande Champagne Cognac (Lot 76) is one of the finest cognacs to have ever been released. Aged exclusively at La Rochelle by the Atlantic Ocean, the Origine contains a blend of 45-year-old eaux-de-vie and only three bottles were ever produced.

Other no reserve cognacs on sale include the Remy Martin Louis XIII La Collection Cognac Diamant (Lot 75) and a bottle of Frapin in Honour of Jehan Frapin (Lot 74), created exclusively for La Part Des Agnes 2014, this bottle features some of the oldest eaux-de-vie from Frapin.

All bottles, with the exception of those under bond, are stored at Bonhams offices and warehousing in Oxford to facilitate easy worldwide shipping.
