Dame Barbara Hepworth's large scale Winged Figure I, the original form for her iconic John Lewis commission, will lead our major autumn auction. Two exceptionally provenanced canvases by Sir Winston Churchill will also feature – including The Lake at Blenheim which was gifted by the great statesman to the war hero Field Marshal Montgomery. Further fresh-to-the-market lots on offer will include prime works by L.S. Lowry, Lynn Chadwick, Jack Butler Yeats, and Walter Sickert. The auction line-up is completed by several exciting, rediscovered works including by Harold Gilman, Euan Uglow and David Bomberg, all set to make their London auction debut.
