A Chinese export silver three-piece tea set

19th century
Comprising a teapot and cover, sugar bowl and cover, and milk jug, the handles in dragon form, the vessels worked in repoussé with scenes of scholarly gatherings, the cartouche encircling a monogram, the bases stamped with a mark reading xinyuan.
7in (17.8cm) height of teapot, total silver weight approximately 52.6oz (1636gm) troy (3).
