Two jade snuff bottles

1800-1880
Both well-hollowed; the first, featuring a flat lip, oval foot ring, the two principal sides each carved with chilong and scrolling lingzhi; the second, a slightly tapering bottle, one side carved with a cat and a butterfly, the reverse utilizing the natural russet inclusions and carved with a large goldfish, separated by a pair of 'lion mask and ring' mock handles on the narrow sides.
2 1/2in (6.4cm); 2 1/8in (5.4cm) high (2).
