A Cizhou-type russet-splashed bowl

Song/Jin dynasty, 11th/12th century
The rounded sides rising to a wide shoulder below a recessed band encircling the neck, the interior with russet splashes applied over a black glaze, the exterior similarly decorated and with the glaze stopping at the lower body to reveal the buff-colored biscuit, the rim dressed in ivory glaze.
