A two-section white and black jade pomander

Late Qing dynasty
The two gently convex halves skillfully carved in openwork, depicting birds amongst leafy branches, all enclosed by frames with barbed edges, the white stone with scattered black inclusions, attached to a later-added string and tied with four green jadeite beads as a necklace.
