Two elegantly decorated lacquers
Meiji era and later
The first a tray with indented corners and two large realistically rendered crustaceans to the top, raised on four small feet; the second a fubako document box adorned with a stylized traditional landscape of tori-i and bridges among mountainous waterways; both with tomobako (wear, minor losses, chips)
1 3/4in (4.4cm) x 11 3/4in (29.8cm) and 7 3/4in (19.7cm) x 7in (17.8cm) (2).
