Album of ten leaves, ink on paper, each leaf inscribed by the artist, the final leaf dated xinmao, with artist's seals reading Baichi, Shi'er Fengqiao, Qiantang Zhao Tong, Tong, Zhao Tong, Zhao Tong, Xiaocun, Zhao Tong yin, Baichi shu hua.

Zhao Tong, a late Qing dynasty painter and calligrapher, used the courtesy name Chibo, and was a native of Qiantang (Hangzhou). His seal and clerical scripts are particularly excellent; his flower paintings show vigorousness and sincerity. This album of ink plum blossoms, each leaf accompanied by an inscription in clerical script, demonstrates the strong influence of Jin Nong (1687-1763) on Zhao Tong's art.
