夢弼（1888-1970）乃現藏家祖父。廣東順德人。早年於香港基督青年會修讀化學，精通粵、中、英三種語言。一九〇六年南下馬來西亞，進入橡膠園行業，數年內經營橡膠園達兩百公頃。一九二一年創立大馬首個集成橡膠廠，至今仍由其家族經營。
夢弼性耽藝術，好收藏。喜交文人雅士，以下兩件拍品乃上世紀八十年代直接得自藝術家溫永琛。
