西川寧題匣

外匣：缶廬先生〈觀音大士圖〉軸。
內匣：戊申（1968）冬月，第十一回日展，覓洞仁弟獲菊花賞，余聞之，不勝欣喜，持贈此幅表賀忱，西川寧。

款識：
南無大慈大悲救苦救難觀世音菩薩。願為菩薩捧軍持，為救飢荒不敢遲。五蘊皆空空不得，還求法水灑楊枝。甲子（1924）秋七月，臥病經旬，藥稀特健，誦持佛號，得以心地光明。題句自禱，吳昌碩年八十有一。

鈐印：俊卿之印、蒼石、虛素

註：西川寧（1902-1989），字安叔，號靜闇。日本東京人。明治書家西川春洞（1847-1915）季子。西川寧師從金石篆刻家河井荃盧（1871-1945），並於一九三八年至四〇年間留學北京，研究中國古代文學及書法。西川寧特慕趙之謙，對吳昌碩亦十分推崇。
