原藏家（1941-2017）一九六七年畢業於哈佛大學，獲中國歷史碩士學位。當年加入該國外交部並隨即被派駐北京。一九六八至七〇年駐京期間，他流連廠肆，多有購藏。一九九六年至二〇〇二年間曾再度駐京，與當代藝術家多有互動。藏家一生摯愛中國歷史與文化，直至去世之前，每年的春節都在中國度過。本季二幅由其家屬釋出，乃購於六八至七〇年間，其中蒲華〈山靜似太古〉（拍品編號237）具當年文物公司標籤。
