Inscribed and signed Wu Changshuo, with a dedication and one seal of the artist. The reverse inscribed and signed Wang Zhongyin, dated dingyou year (1897), with the same dedication and one seal of the artist

曼倩媮來。攬澄先生正之，吳昌碩。
（另面）
（錄〈禹廟〉、〈長江二首〉，詳詩不錄）攬澄仁弟與余家三世論交，平日雖同聽鼓順天，而踪跡闊踈，不得朝夕言歡。丁酉（1897）季冬，彼此權篆奉先，則踈者愈密，殆天假之緣与。藎承王忠廕。

註: 王忠廕(1847-?)，字藎臣、藎承。江蘇無錫人。其父王恩綬（1804-1855）及仲兄燮皆戰死於武昌洪楊之亂。光緒、宣統年間，王忠廕「初官京曹，旋改外，歷宰燕冀諸縣」，此幅署年光緒丁酉（1897），款識云攬澄與其同「聽鼓順天」，正乃其「官京曹」之時。外放後，王氏累官至候補同知，先後主政河北大興、寶坻、通州、定州等縣，接受維新思潮，率先於定州創辦新式學堂。民國後返故里，修《錫山王氏宗譜》二卷。
