款識：
閒釣溪魚魚滿串，旋沽村酒酒盈尊。歸來記得掛船處，秋水斜陽樹一根。琴齋大兄雅屬，癸未（1943）夏日，大千居士張爰。

鈐印：三千大千、大千、大風堂

上款：「琴齋」即簡經綸（1888-1950），字琴石，號琴齋，別署千石，室名千石樓、萬石樓等。廣東番禺人。師從簡朝亮治經史，問書藝於康有為。曾任國民政府參事，廣州、上海僑務委員、局長等職。公餘喜研詩詞、書法及篆刻藝術，尤擅商周甲骨、金文，取材入印，馳名海上，與易孺、葉恭綽、吳湖帆、馬公愚等滬上名家往還密切。一九三七年，為避戰火，簡氏於該年冬遷香港，設袖海堂開課授徒。著有《琴齋壬戌印存》、《琴齋書畫印集》二輯、《甲骨集古詩聯》、《琴齋印留》、《千石齋印識》等。
大千與簡氏之交，始於上世紀三十年代，二者同活躍於上海藝壇。簡氏為大千奏刀刻印，其六女文舒拜在「大風堂」門下。一九四八年，大千自滬來港，便寄寓在港島纜車徑一號簡氏「在山樓」，二者書畫唱和，留下不少佳作。
