A YELLOW JADE QUAIL

Qing dynasty
Finely carved in a recumbent pose with a large head, its feet neatly tucked beneath its body, curved to conform to the shape of the pebble, its plumage intricately detailed, the smoothly polished stone of a greenish-yellow color with opaque pale yellow inclusions, fissures and enhanced russet coloration, wood stand.
