Queen's South Africa 1899-1902,

three bars, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen (Lieut: A.M.Southey. Scots: Gds.). Lightly toned, extremely fine. (1)

Footnotes

Lieutenant A.M.Southey was born in October 1872 and was educated at Eton College (Mr Warre Cornish), he entered the Scots Guards in April 1892 and was promoted to Lieutenant in April 1897. He had served with the 3rd Battalion but volunteering for active service was transferred to the 2nd Battalion and proceeded to South Africa in May 1900. He was killed in action at Tiger's Kloof on the 23rd November 1900.
