A pair of polychrome enameled 'Hundred Deer' Vases
Late Qing dynasty
Each of thickly molded pear form with iron red and gilt-painted loop handles, the body painted in inky black outline and richly hued enamels with opaque white enamel highlights to form mirror images of deer grazing amid towering mountain peaks and forests against a clear glaze covering all surfaces except the pad to the tall foot.
