A large polychrome enameled 'Hundred Deer' vase
Late Qing/Republic period
Of hu form with a body of pear shape raised on a tall foot, the applied deer-head handles enameled in black and iron red while herds of tiny deer feed amid towering pines and peach trees filling the rocky landscape rendered in a richly hued 'blue and green' style, a colorless glaze covering all surfaces except the foot pad on the recessed base.
