A blue and white stick-neck vase
Guangxu six-character mark and of the period
Molded with a tall waisted neck, raised string bands encircling the shoulder above the globular body raised on a tall foot ring, the exterior sides decorated in varied horizontal repeating bands of stylized lotus and vine, plantain leaves, ruyi lappets, and wave patterns all rendered in several shades of deep cobalt blue, the mark on the recessed base written in standard script.
