A huanghuali official's hat armchair, Guanmaoyi
18th/19th century
The gently curving top rail with swept-up ends suspending a plain, well figured back splat set between extensions of the back legs, the s-curved arm rests supported by the 'goose neck' front posts and s-shaped center posts all joined to a hard paneled seat over a continuous beaded apron butted to front legs joined to a footrest and stepped stretchers.
