A hongmu horseshoe back arm chair

Late Qing/Republic period
The three section top rail supported by a two-panel backsplat, the upper section carved with a network of fan-shaped lozenges and c-comma patterns over a plain raised panel and shaped apron flanked by tubular back rails, s-shaped side posts and elegant shaped front posts set back under the hand rests and joined to a hard paneled seat, the curvilinear beaded apron and u-shaped spandrels set between splayed squared-off tubular supports and stepped box stretchers.
