A molded and gilt-painted porcelain snuff bottle
1796-1850
The ovoid form bottle molded in high relief around the walls with the eighteen luohan holding their attributes surrounded by cloud scrolls, the raised relief, as well as the flat lip and the oval foot ring covered in gilt over black against a turquoise blue enamel ground meant to simulate gilt metal, the underside bearing a four-character Qianlong nian zhi mark painted in gold seal script.
