A glass snuff bottle with red overlaid carp decoration
1750-1850
Of flattened pear form with a waisted neck, wide mouth, supported by a finely finished oval foot ring, the bottle of a misty green opalescent tone with tiny bubbles and creamy white swirls resembling the condition of a pond, with a well carved carp and waterweed to either side rendered with red overlay work.
2 1/2in (6.4cm) high
Of flattened pear form with a waisted neck, wide mouth, supported by a finely finished oval foot ring, the bottle of a misty green opalescent tone with tiny bubbles and creamy white swirls resembling the condition of a pond, with a well carved carp and waterweed to either side rendered with red overlay work.
