A fine fluted agate snuff bottle

Imperial, Palace Workshops, Beijing, 1750-1820
Very well-hollowed, of tapering cylindrical form with an elegantly waisted neck, concave lip, finely finished circular foot ring, the sides with evenly spaced vertical fluted panels; the honey-toned matrix with a few small patches of lighter color.
