Oriental Ceramic Art, Collection of W.T. Walters
Appleton, New York, 1897, first edition, number 14 of limited edition of 500, with one hundred and sixteen plates in color and over 400 reproductions in black and white.
A complete set in ten folios, each individually bound in original yellow quarter cloth, the five pairs enclosed in cardboard and green cloth protective cases stamped with the characters Tao Shuo; illustrating the collections of Chinese art collected by William Thompson Walters (1820-1894), now housed in the Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore, Maryland; the text written by Stephen Wootton Bushell (1844-1908) (fading and wear to the cases, toning to paper).
