A beige silk ground fan case with loop stitch embroidery
Late Qing dynasty
Intricately worked in subtly colored silk and gilt-wrapped threads with a bird and butterflies surrounding flowering branches on one side and another butterfly and flowering branches combined with lingzhi fungus and a grasshopper creeping toward orchids in bloom on the other side; the pale celadon silk ribbon handle mounted with rose glass plaques.
