A massive polychrome-woven brocade silk kang cover

Late Qing/Republic period
Constructed from three sections joined vertically, woven in shades of red and gray-green with metallic-wrapped thread highlights on a deep blue ground forming a field centered with a massive composite lotus flower surrounded by leafy stems with smaller blooms and a bat at each corner, the border patterns including further lotus and leaf scrolls above a wanzi meander; finished with blue cotton backing.
