An inlaid silver and turquoise bronze censer, dui
Song/Ming dynasty
Lacking its cover, the lower half-spherical body elegantly cast and inlaid at the base with four whorl patterns surrounding a square field under alternating bands of c-comma hooked lozenges and c-shaped brackets all under an elaborate saw-tooth band of spiral and c-comma volutes, the surfaces all inlaid with turquoise and silver and set off by hooked ring handles and tripod supports, now with carved wood domed cover mounted with a jade finial.
