A large gilt lacquered bronze figure of a Bodhisattva
Ming dynasty
Possibly depicting Mahasthamaprapta as suggested by the kalasha on the front of the foliate crown that encircles his topknot, the deity also attired in pendant jewels and flowing robes as he sits dhyanasana with the right hand raised in the karanamudra, the surfaces showing remains of gilt lacquer and colored pigments.
