A pale green jade-inlaid wood ruyi scepter and tiered stands
The jade Yuan/Ming dynasty,
the scepter and stands late Qing/Republic period
The curving scepter with three raised panels inlaid with reticulated jade plaques, the plaque on the head carved with a duck in flight amid dense foliate scrolls and leafy lotus blossom, all above heaped waves, the plaques in the center and the lower end similarly carved, all raised on two separate cushioned stands, the higher inset with reticulated bone plaques within square scroll bands and the lower stand with low-relief scroll carving on the aprons above four cabriole legs.
