A large coral figure of an immortal
Late 19th/early 20th century
Possibly Lan Caihe, holding a double carp shaped basket with emerging peony branch, two blossom-laden branches forming part of her headdress as she is captured mid-stride carrying her burden, the elegant immortal dressed in long flowing robes under a mugwort girdle, supported by a reticulated turquoise stone and painted wood base.
