A massive coral figure of an Immortal
Late 19th/Early 20th century
Depicting He Xiangu holding a basket of flowers and a lingzhi branch while standing on a rocky promontory, the willowy maiden flanked by a pine bough at left, two stately deer at her right and two cranes biting lingzhi branches below, one stag carrying a branch of ripe peaches in his mouth as he steps on a pine bough bridge, set into a hardwood base carved in high relief with a network of bamboo, pine and lingzhi.
