A group of five jade belt slides

Qing dynasty
Each of rectangular silhouette and C-scroll form reversed by a rectangular loop: the largest of yellow jade marked with russet patches, engraved in fine outlines with vegetal scroll work; the second of straw color with a patch of pale russet, carved with an animal mask above raised C-scrolls, circular bosses and criss-cross reserves; the third and shortest of pale olive green with russet veins, simply ornamented with raised string bands carved at the outer edges; the fourth of pale greenish-white with opaque straw colored patches throughout, covered with a field of intertwined C-scrolls; the last of translucent straw color with two patches of faint russet, carved with two vertical rows of horizontal C-scrolls.
