A group of four metal containers
18th century and later
The first a rectangular-sectioned copper alloy box with sliding lid, the surfaces carefully incised with a landscape, flowering plants and a crane standing beneath a pine tree, the underside of the cover dated Qianlong 48th year kui-mao third month (1783); the second covered box in the shape of a Han cash with bronze cash forming the top to the lid, the walls and base combining copper with baitong sheets; the third a rectangular-sectioned baitong box with indented corners and a perforated diaper pattern to the cover; the last a rectangular baitong water pot raised on four corner feet, a pair of movable ring handles at each end, the sides incised with calligraphy.
