A group of four miniature cast metal containers
Qing dynasty
The first an oval-sectioned bronze censer raised on four cabriole legs, flying cranes separated by mock animal-head and ring handles on the upright walls; the second a brass bombé-form censer with waisted neck, loose rings hanging from loop handles and raised on three conical feet, the center of the base inscribed Xuan; the third, another archaistic tripod censer with curving strap handle and tall legs supporting the compressed globular body bearing a four-character Xuande mark on the base; the fourth a small bronze jar with canted neck and delicate raised string bands along the canted walls; together with a six-lobed miniature copper alloy water pot with squared C-scroll handle.
