Lot 2087

MCMVII (1907) High Relief $20, Wire Rim
This is a very pleasing representative of this classic U.S. gold design. The surfaces are suitably vibrant, and only a couple of tiny abrasions are visible after close examination with a loupe. Both sides display warm, medium green-gold color. Expectantly sharp in definition for a coin that was struck multiple times on the Philadelphia Mint's hydraulic medal press, with much to recommend it to advanced collectors. This piece is sure to have no difficulty eliciting strong bids when it crosses the auction block. (PCGS 9135)
