27.64 grams. Obverse: Diademed & veiled head of Arsinoe right, lotus scepter behind (under) head. Reverse: APΣINOHΣ - ΦIΛΑΔΕΛΦΟΥ. Double cornucopia bound with fillet, plain border. This is one of the early elegant portraits of Arsinoe. A very pleasant example of this fine style with a lovely portrait. Virtually as struck.

Arsinoe II was the daughter of Ptolemy I and his second wife Berenice I. As wife of the King of Lysimachus, Arsinoe II was queen of Thrace, Asia Minor, and Macedonia. After the King's death in 281 B.C. Arsinoe II married her half-brother Ptolemy II.
