The beloved illustrator and children's author Sir Quentin Blake has teamed up with Bonhams once again for a special charity sale, Quentin Blake Draws Hope for Ukraine. Bonhams is waiving all commission, and there will be no buyer's premium charged, with all the funds raised going to the charity Hope and Homes for Children: Urgent Appeal for Ukraine. The sale includes 40 drawings, nearly all of which have been created especially for this sale, with many featuring the blue and yellow colours of the Ukrainian flag.Hope and Homes for Children was founded 30 years ago with a vision of a world in which children no longer suffer in orphanages, and instead get the chance to grow up in loving and safe families. Hope and Homes for Children are deeply concerned for the 100,000 children warehoused in Ukraine's 700 orphanages and are uniquely placed, with the public's support, to bring their expertise to bear in ensuring the most vulnerable children and families are protected now and in the aftermath of the war.
