The sentiment behind the Playboy feature was to give noted film directors the chance to express their own erotic fantasies on film where, due to censorship restrictions, they would not otherwise have been able to do so. Fellini came up with the notion of two priests flying a kite on a beach and discovering a voluptuous goddess at the end of the line. These sketches are the original concept ideas for the feature which were gifted to Bruce Williamson at the time.
