Emily Wilson

Emily Wilson is Head of Sale for Impressionist & Modern Art at Bonhams in New York. Overseeing the various owner, themed and online sales, she is responsible for sourcing business and guiding the department's cataloguing, research and authentication.

Since joining Bonhams in 2018, Emily has worked on major auctions which have achieved exceptional results. These include the sale of Wassily Kandinsky's Einige Spitzen (achieving $3,270,313 against a pre-sale estimate of $1,800,00-2,500,000) as well as Marc Chagall's stage curtain for the Metropolitan Opera's 1967 production of Mozart's The Magic Flute, which achieved over three times its low estimate in November 2020. She also worked closely on the sale of Pablo Picasso's major 1937 portrait of Marie-Thérèse Walter, Femme au Béret Mauve (achieving $10,837,063) and the 100% sold single-owner sale The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess in 2021.

Prior to Bonhams, Emily earned her Master's degree in Modern & Contemporary Art and the Art Market from Christie's Education in New York. She is driven by her passion for research, and she has a specific interest in Surrealism and Latin American Art.
