Leo Webster

Leo Webster is a Specialist in 19th Century Paintings & Orientalist Art at Bonhams New Bond Street in London. His areas of interest span British and European art throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, with a particular focus on 19th century artist travelers, the Pre-Raphaelites, British Aestheticism, and British Impressionist painters of the early 20th century.

In his role, Leo has overseen several exceptional sales - including an extremely rare early view in Mexico by British artist Daniel Thomas Egerton, which achieved £344,750; two landscapes by George Chinnery, which realized the second and third highest prices ever achieved at auction for the artist; and a rare and exceptionally striking early 19th century work on paper by Peter Rindisbacher depicting a marvelously decorated Canadian dog cariole in Hudson Bay, sold for £112,750.

Leo joined Bonhams' Knightsbridge Pictures department in 2016 after completing his Master's degree in Art History at the University of St Andrews. He spent several years working in the Marine and Topographical Pictures departments, achieving the title of Specialist in both, before joining the 19th Century team in New Bond Street.
