Provenance:
This guitar was used by Eddie Van Halen in a jam recording session with Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath on April 28th 1994. The guitar was borrowed from Musical Exchanges, Birmingham, as confirmed by a statement from the shop's Guy Morris on which the serial number of the guitar is noted. A photocopy of 1993-94 Guitar Buyer's Guide also accompanies this lot which includes an article on EVH in which he mentions this event and using this guitar, 'Ed boasts, "I was just in England and I went to jam with Tony Iommi. I didn't have any of my regular Music Man guitars with me so I just to a music store and borrowed one. It was exactly like one of my regular ones - same quality".
