Laetitia Guillotin is Head of Sale for Prints & Multiples at Bonhams New Bond Street in London. She leads the saleroom's two main annual Prints & Multiples auctions.
Joining Bonhams in 2018 as Junior Specialist, Laetitia was promoted to Specialist and her current position, having successfully organised a sale dedicated to the prints of Sam Francis in November 2020. She was responsible for the dedicated Banksy prints sale in June 2021 and co-headed the very successful Pop x Culture thematic sale in November 2021, celebrating Pop Art and Street Art.
Her auction highlights include the sale of Banksy's Girl with Balloon (£350,062) in October 2020; David Hockney's The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011 (twenty eleven)- 5 May (£125,250) in June 2021; Andy Warhol's Mick Jagger (£106,500) and Flexible after Jean-Michel Basquiat (£94,000), both in November 2021; and a complete set of Barbara Hepworth's Aegean Suite (£27,750) in December 2021.
Laetitia specialises in post-war and contemporary prints, with a particular focus on American prints - from Pop Art to Minimalism and beyond - and modern and contemporary British art. She has a dedicated interest in the graphic oeuvre of women artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Bridget Riley, Paula Rego, Kara Walker, Kiki Smith, Agnes Martin, Yayoi Kusama, Helen Frankenthaler and others.
She focuses on sourcing, appraising and growing business in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, as well as across the United Kingdom, in South Africa, Hong Kong and Australia through Bonhams' network of offices and representatives in these areas.
Laetitia previously worked at Purdy Hicks Gallery and at The Fine Art Society in London. It was there that she started specialising in the prints medium and market, working alongside Director and prints specialist Gordon Cooke. She worked on and co-curated a number of exhibitions dedicated to the medium, and represented the gallery at the London Original Print Fair from 2016 to 2018. Laetitia is fluent in French, English and Italian.
