Jennifer Jacobsen is Director of American Art at Bonhams, New York. Prior to joining Bonhams, she worked as a Specialist and Head of Sale in the American Art department of Christie's in New York for nine years.

Jennifer has also worked on significant private sales of American Art, as well as some of the strongest online auctions in the category. She has an extensive cataloguing and research background in the field, with expertise ranging from American 19th Century art and Impressionism, through to Modernism, Regionalism and Illustration art.

Jennifer is responsible for sourcing consignments for the American Art auctions as well as performing valuations for fair market value and insurance purposes. She assists private collectors and institutions with selling and collecting in the category. In her time at Bonhams, she has handled record-breaking sales for the artists Thomas Hill and Dawson Dawson-Watson, as well as the strong result for Theodore Earl Butler's, Flag Day.

Jennifer received her M.A. Joint Honours degree in Art History and International Relations at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
