Rachel Du is a Specialist in the Asian Art department in Los Angeles.

Although she primarily specializes in Chinese works of art, she also appraises works and paintings in Japanese, Korean and other areas of Asian Art. She plays a significant role in the successful execution of sales and acquiring consignments for Asian Art auctions in San Francisco, New York and Hong Kong. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, Spanish and is currently studying Japanese.

Her notable experiences at Bonhams include assisting an 'Exceptionally Rare Imperial Ming-Style Underglaze Blue and Copper Red vase, Qianlong Seal mark' to sell for the equivalent of $2.9m; acquiring and cataloging a number of prominent private collections in Southern California; and increasing Bonhams presence with major institutions in Southern California.

Rachel has been with Bonhams since 2017. Prior to joining Bonhams, she studied Comparative Literature and Art History at U.C. Davis. After graduation, she obtained a Master's degree from the University of Chicago specializing in Chinese art history. Between obtaining her degree and joining Bonhams, she held positions at several prominent institutions such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco.
