Miles Harrison is a Specialist in the Silver Department, responsible for the valuing and cataloguing of items for more than eight sales a year. These sales include articles of silver and gold objects of virtue made both in Britain and overseas, dating from the 15th century to the current day.

After studying Classics at the University of Nottingham, he was taken under the wing of a respected silver dealer and began researching various aspects of the field, focusing particularly on 18th and 19th century British silver. As well as numerous published articles, Miles has also produced a book on silver made in the South West of England.

One of his most memorable auction highlights at Bonhams was the sale of a group of 53 large candelabra from Greenwich Naval College; split into 16 lots, they sold for over £200,000.

Miles' book Exeter & West Country Silver 1700-1900 was published in 2014.
