Caroline Morrissey is the Director of Jewelry for Bonhams New York. She has more than two decades of experience in the jewelry business and is responsible for the New York jewelry department including overseeing property acquisition, appraisals of gemstones and jewelry, and auction preparation. Morrissey's career began in a charming jewelry store in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she discovered a passion for jewelry on weekends during high school. Her career started in earnest after college in the diamond industry in Antwerp, Belgium, and has since spanned many areas of the business, including stints at prominent luxury retailers Cartier and Leviev. Some of her notable sales at Bonhams include a diamond riviere, which sold for $1,205,000 in June 2015, a diamond solitaire which sold for $1,807,500 in September 2017 and a loose Kashmir sapphire which sold for $1,244,075 in July 2020. She has a double major in Economics and Politics from the University of York, England.
