Hannah Foster, Head of Department, Impressionist & Modern Art, London, joined Bonhams in 2011 after training at Christie's. Promoted to Senior Specialist in 2015 and Department Director in 2017, Hannah has been instrumental in the growth of the department and its international profile, securing some of its most significant consignments and sales. During her tenure she has worked on major collections and auction world records including the white-glove Walid Juffali collection, Auguste Rodin's Eternel Printemps and Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita's Fête d'anniversaire which sold for £7,000,000 in 2018.

With a special focus on growing business in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium, Hannah travels extensively throughout Europe and internationally to provide property appraisals, build existing relationships and to source new business for the global Impressionist & Modern Art auctions. Working closely with private clients, Hannah also advises on collection management and development, providing in-depth market analysis and art historical expertise.

Before joining Bonhams, Hannah gained a Masters degree in Modern and Contemporary Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, where she graduated with Distinction. She also holds a First Class honors degree from Durham University.
